(3 Units) Attempts to engage the student in the struggle with legal and ethical issues that most affect the practice of professional psychology. Prerequisites: PSYC 4770 and graduate standing.

Introduction to psychopharmacology drugs used to treat mental illness. We will review basic neurophysiology, pharmacokinetics and pharmacodynamics pertinent to an understanding of how drugs work in the brain. Students will also learn how to apply this knowledge within their scope of practice as Marriage Family Therapists.
